My 1992 ford rangers radiator hose coming from the block back to the radiator is collapsing, what could cause?

When the truck is running and gets hot, the radiator hose from the block to the radiator on top, it seems to be collapsing or sucking and acting like it is clogged somewhere. What could this be?
If it is the hose, will it hurt anything to leave

thats ok if it is cold shouldent do that hot
